Has Hunting Been Calling You?

Way Of The Wildman Provider Protocol

A Pre-Field Initiation for the Modern Man

I. The Call

Something within you already recognizes that comfort and convenience carry a price. You have achieved, provided, and built, yet an inner hunger persists. This hunger is not a flaw; it is the voice of the Wildman summoning you back to purpose. This is not merely a retreat or a weekend diversion. It is an initiation, a reclamation of the primal cadence of strength, stewardship, and authenticity.

II. The Purpose

Contemporary men are enveloped in noise, information, and distractions, while deprived of profound meaning. We have conflated provision with material possessions, discipline with self-criticism, and serenity with inertia. The Provider Protocol reinstates the foundational order: A man's paramount calling is to protect, provide, and proceed with purpose rather than pretense. This is the space where we reaffirm that discipline embodies devotion and discomfort holds sanctity.

III. The Six Pillars of the Provider

1. BODY

The Vessel/Foundation

- Strength and humility are rebuilt through sweat and effort.

2. MIND

The Compass/Sightline

- Stillness and focus return. The wild rewires attention.

3. RELATIONSHIPS

The Circle/Forge

- Men sharpen men. Masks fall. Trust is forged in fire.

4. SPIRIT

The Fire/Guide

- The silence of nature becomes prayer. God’s voice is heard again.

5. SKILL

The Craft

- Fire, blade, and patience cultivating competence reborn as confidence.

6. LEGACY

The Offering/Return

- You go home with more than meat. You go home as the man you were built to be.

Upcoming Hunt - Born of Fire

May 21-24 - Sonora, Texas

Spots are intentionally limited to maintain a high-quality experience

A 4-day field to flame immersion in the Texas high desert. Born of Fire is led by outdoorsman Ethan Peters, guiding participants through disciplined pursuit, ethical harvest, and land stewardship. This is hunting rooted in patience, respect, and skill - done the right way.

From the field, the experience transitions to the flame. Mike Torres of Gold Epicure, Martindale BBQ and Duetts will oversee the culinary execution - transforming harvested wild game into refined open-fire meals. With a focus on whole-animal respect and elevated live-fire technique, each dish reflects craftsmanship, restraint and intention.

This is not a spectator experience. Participants will

  • Engage in guided hunting sessions

  • Learn proper field dressing and butchery

  • Understand ethical harvest and responsibility

  • Prepare and cook wild game over live fire

  • Share intentional communal meals under the open sky

From pursuit to process to plate - every step matters.

“The hunt does not change the man - it reveals him.”

What Sets Our Hunts Apart

01 / Nature Connection

Our time in the field is about more than hunting. It’s about learning to move with the rhythms of the land, noticing tracks and patterns, and rediscovering the deep relationship between ourselves and the natural world.

02 / Expert Facilitation

Each hunt is guided with patience and experience. From reading the landscape to ethical harvesting and field processing. We ensure the experience is safe, respectful and deeply educational

03 / Collaborative Energy

Hunting is not a solitary pursuit here. We approach each experience as a shared journey. Learning together, supporting one another and building camaraderie through challenge and discovery.

How We Hunt

Every hunt in The Way of The Wildman is spot-and-stalk by default. We move quietly through the country: reading sign, cutting tracks, using wind and terrain, closing distance on foot. This is how you re-learn real hunting: stealth, patience, shot placement under pressure, and the primal satisfaction of earning your animal the hard way.

You will glass ridges at dawn, still-hunt creeks at mid-morning, and stalk within bow or rifle range when the moment is right. This is the core of Pillar 5 – Skill.

Blind or stand hunting is available only if the entire group agrees (usually for weather, physical limitation, or specific trophy strategy). The default is boots on the ground, heart rate up, doing it the old way.

Just you, the land, and the animal.

WHAT I BELIEVE

Men need challenge to grow.

Comfort is killing more men than hardship ever did.

Blood is not shameful, it’s responsibility.

Taking a life should break you open, not harden you.

The wild cuts through every lie we tell ourselves.

Out here, there’s no ego.
No distraction.
No pretending.
Only truth.

Brotherhood is necessary, not optional.

Men don’t rise alone.
They rise together.

God speaks in silence.

The forest, the field, the breath before the shot, these where the answers are.

WHAT I DO

I lead men through hunts that are more than hunts.

These experiences combine:

spot & stalk hunting

presence and stillness training

masculine leadership and values work

spiritual reflection and grounding

sweat lodge or purification practices

fire circles and debriefs

brotherhood, honesty, and accountability

YOU WILL LEARN

how to track

how to move

how to aim

how to butcher & process

how to cook wild game

how to respect the animal

how to step into the energy of the provider

how to confront fear, hesitation, or numbness

how to reconnect to a deeper purpose

Every man who comes into the field leaves different.

WHO I SERVE

Wildman Hunts are for men who:

feel stuck or disconnected

crave challenge or initiation

want to become better fathers, husbands, providers

desire a deeper connection to God

want to develop hunting skills the right way

want to confront their fears and limitations

want to hunt with intention, reverence, and purpose

Whether you're a seasoned hunter or brand new, this space is for you.

WHY I DO THIS

Because modern life has stripped men of the experiences that made them men.

Because silence, sweat, fear, and brotherhood shape us more than any self-help video ever will.

Because you deserve a place where you can face yourself honestly, rise to a challenge, and return home a stronger man for the people you love.

I do this because the wild changed me and I believe it can change you, too.

NEXT STEP

If you feel the pull, even slightly, that’s your instinct speaking.

Book a Call or Submit a Deposit.

This isn’t a program.
It’s a turning point.

I grew up in rural New York, raised by a father who taught me how to hunt, fish, work with my hands, and take care of myself.
We lived on venison, pheasant, fish, and the food we grew.
The wild was home.
It shaped everything in me.

But somewhere along the way, I lost it.

Life pulled me into the wrong corners, chasing meaning everywhere except where it truly lived. I slipped into darkness, depression, and almost reached a point I couldn’t come back from.

To survive, I had to return.
Back to God.
Back to myself.
Back to the wildness that lives within every man.

Hunting became my way home.

Now I lead men through the same kind of journey — not a guided vacation, but an initiation. A place where the hunt becomes a mirror, where silence teaches more than words, and where a man remembers who he really is.

If you feel the pull, you’re in the right place.
The wild is calling you home.
